Dr. Wright graduated magna cum laude from Southern California College of Optometry in 1973 and has been providing eye care in Sedona for 48 years. He is the founder and medical director of Sedona Eye Care. With a genuine concern for his patients' eye health, he provides family eye care as well as the treatment and management of glaucoma and other eye diseases. Dr. Wright has a special interest in dry eye disease. He is available by cell phone, nights and weekends for emergencies. As well as treating eye diseases with medications, he augments treatment with naturopathic supplements and takes an integrative approach to eye care. He is affiliated with the Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center and the Associated Retinal Consultants, specialist groups who provide patients with consultations and surgical procedures at Sedona Eye Care. Dr. Wright is proud to provide the Sedona's only Surgery Center, a 2800 sq. ft. Medicare and State licensed surgical center. Dr. Wright has been active in the community, serving as Lions Club President in 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007 and 2017. The Lions Club honored Dr. Wright with the Melvin Jones Fellow, Lions' highest humanitarian award. He is currently serving his second year as President of Sedona 30. He has also been on the local Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in Sedona and served three years as a Board Member for the Arizona Optometric Association as well as the Board of Directors of VSP ( the world's largest vision care company). Currently he serves as AZ VSP Ambassador. Serge served on the committee that formed the Sedona Oak Creek School District and served as the liaison to the AZ legislature. He served on the Sedona Chamber of Commerce Board from 1980 to 1982. He received the Good Morning Sedona award for Outstanding Contribution to the community of Sedona. Also, he was made an honorary member of Sedona Bell Rock Kiwanis for community service. Dr. Wright is currently serving his second term as President of Sedona 30. Dr. Bryan earned his B.S. from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts in 1984 where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Biology. He was awarded a Medical Degree from University of Florida College of Medicine in 1988. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine (1988-89) at the Orlando Regional Medical Center and his Residency in Ophthalmology (1989-92) at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine. He completed his Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at the University of British Columbia in 1993.
Dr. Bryan has been in practice since 1993. Following his fellowship, Dr Bryan joined Retina Associate in Jacksonville Florida. Dr. Bryan was a consultant and clinical instructor at the University Medical Center teaching and training Ophthalmology residents from the University of Florida College Of Medicine. In 1995, Dr. Bryan moved to Arizona to join Associated Retina Consultants. Dr Bryan has been a clinical instructor at Maricopa Medical Center since 1995 assisting in the training of physicians from the Mayo Clinic, Wills Eye Hospital, Washington University, and University of Arizona. At Associated Retina Consultants, Dr. Bryan has been a principal investigator in numerous clinical trials investigating new treatments for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retina vascular disease. His dedication to the field of Ophthalmology has resulted in a book chapter and the publications in the Archives of Ophthalmology, Retina, Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, and Journal of Clinical Neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Bryan scored in the 99th percentile on his American Board of Ophthalmology examination. Dr. Bryan has been recognized the first time as one of the Best Doctors in America. Dr. Bryan maintains memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, America Medical Association, Arizona Ophthalmological Society, Phoenix Ophthalmological Society, Maricopa Medical Society, American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. |
Dr. David McGarey is a graduate of Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his family practice residency training at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA in 1997.
After completing his residency training in 1997, he opened his private practice in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1997. Dr. McGarey partnered with Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in the summer of 2007. As a recognized ophthalmologist in Arizona, Dr. McGarey specializes in Diabetes, Glaucoma and has performed over 30,000 Cataract procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He performs cataract and glaucoma surgery next door to Sedona Eye Care PC at the BDPEC Surgery Center. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and a fellow of the American Medical Association, The American Academy of Ophthalmologists. |
